The Last Appeal tells the story of the heroic work of a couple of students from the North Western University of Chicago to free an innocently convicted person - and the incredible consequences of having a legal system, that puts people in jail, who don't belong there. The film documents injustice and the greatness and abysmal depths of human beings in the course of the criminal investigations in an actual case.
