This is the story of two couples. Joel and Nicole, whose stormy relationship will reveal-and heat white-hot-the much deeper wounds in the second relationship, that of Francis and Edith, who happen to be Nicole´s parents. After a violent dispute, Nicole has just left Joel. Taking their three-year-old son Thomas with her, she seeks refuge at her parents´home.
